Plant a Seed-Read! Program for Public Libraries

The Plant a Seed—Read! program helps inspire children to achieve their dreams and realize their full potential. The program is also designed to connect children to the natural world and encourages them to become caretakers of planet earth.

“We were looking for summer programs for children that were hands-on, science-based and fun. The session also aligned with the library’s priority to promote STEAM activities (science, technology, engineering, arts and math). The Plant a Seed—READ! workshop gave children an opportunity to reinforce the lessons learned in the classroom, which helps them retain information over the summer break.”
